Bio
I am a Christian who has made many mistakes and screw-ups in life. I am also a Christian who has been given much grace and mercy to learn from her mistakes and to work daily on becoming a better representitive of Christ and a worse representitive of the "typical American Christian."

I am a 23 y/o graduate with a B.S. degree in General Psychology and a double-minor in Counseling and in General Music. This fall, I plan on starting to pursue a M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology. My goal is to save the world. Okay, so maybe not so attainable, but you can try, right? No, my ACTUAL goal is to become a counselor for adult victims of child sexual abuse. A supplimental goal of mine is to re-define the way that disorders such as Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, and other conduct disorders are diagnosed - the reason for that is because individuals that have experienced child abuse often exhibit symptoms that are similar to the disorders mentioned above. Instead of getting the help they need, they are labeled, given medication, and are refused the chance to find healing and restoration. So, that is my goal on the career side of things.

I am also getting married on May 31st, so lots of planning to do! David and I have dated for 3 1/2 years, and will have been engaged for about a year of that by the time we get married. He's an amazing man and we challenge each other to become a better person daily - sometimes in ways that are enjoyable, sometimes in ways that aren't, but in ways that bring about something productive.

Hmmm...what else...I am officially retired from any form of full-contact sport. I made it through one season of intermural football unscathed. The second season was a different story. I now have a two-and-a-half inch scar running down my left shoulder from being amazingly talented at tackling myself resulting in two surgeries for a fully seperated A/C joint, torn labrum, and a large tear in the capsule that holds your shoulder together. I mean, if that's not talent, then I don't know what is...Anyway, I'm cool with it. I'm one of those people who doesn't try to hide their scars. I seem them as being a testimony to things I've made it through and grown stronger from.

If you want to know anything else, just ask...unless you're asking for my phone number. In that case, don't.
